Roam Field Guide is an independent editorial project for U.S. and English-speaking international travelers who want practical connectivity advice before they pay.
Our job
Travel eSIM sites often start with a provider link and work backward. We start with the traveler: their device, route, trip length, data needs and tolerance for setup. A recommendation only makes sense after those constraints are clear.
What makes this project different
- Small batches of distinct pages instead of hundreds of interchangeable country templates.
- Primary-source citations and visible fact-check dates for prices, coverage and policies.
- Clear separation between desk research, hands-on tests and provider claims.
- Decision paths that include “use your carrier pass” or “buy a local SIM” when those are better fits.
Current commercial status
Roam Field Guide has not joined the Saily affiliate program and no affiliate tracking links are currently active. If that changes, disclosures will appear close to affected recommendations as well as on the site-wide disclosure page.
The site is independent and is not owned by, operated by or endorsed by Saily, Nord Security or any other eSIM provider mentioned in its research.
